Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at our Roanoke, VA location. You will help manage branch inventory, handle procurement and quoting tasks, and support customer needs. The role may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and basic math skills, with delivery duties using a company vehicle as needed. This is a part-time opportunity in a dynamic supply chain team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and possess a valid driver’s license with ability to meet company vehicle requirements
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field, or relevant work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and basic math aptitude
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Customer service orientation and ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimate/quote prices and source products
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Support accounts receivable activities
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success
