Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Victorville, CA is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to help manage branch inventory and support procurement, sourcing and quoting for customers.

You will collaborate with the team to respond to supply chain needs, handle backorders, and assist accounts receivable while learning the business through our School of Business approach. This role requires a clean driving record and reliable vehicle use.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for company vehicle use
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing or related field OR equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Self-motivated, customer-service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Problem solving and decision-making capabilities
• Adherence to Fastenal core values: ambition, integrity, teamwork
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs if needed
• Pass drug screen where required

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels
• Administer procurement tasks including purchase orders and backorders
• Estimate and quote prices and source products
• Coordinate resources to meet customer supply chain needs
• Support accounts receivable activities
• Make deliveries with company vehicle when required
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success
