Job summary

Culver School District TRANSPORTATION in Culver, Oregon, is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver to transport students safely and efficiently. This part-time position requires flexibility to support multiple departments and school activities, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include operating buses, performing basic inspections, keeping vehicles clean, and reporting to the Transportation Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Valid ODE Bus Driver Certification preferred, but not required (District can provide training).
• Valid Class B CDL with Endorsements preferred, but not required (Obtain through DMV).
• Previous bus driving experience preferred, but not required.
• Holds, or is able to obtain, CPR and First Aid Certification
• Ability and desire to work with children
• Propane fueling experience preferred, but not required.
• Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee’s expense is Required once hired

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, the Substitute School Bus Driver operates school buses and/or other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities in a safe, timely and economical manner.
• Duties assigned to employee include, but are not limited to, cleaning of buses and inspecting the vehicle to insure safe operation.
• Safety and welfare of the students is always the top priority.
• The school bus driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
