Responsibilities

• Operate a large school bus safely and lawfully in varying weather, road and traffic conditions; recognize unsafe conditions.
• Learn specific bus routes, complete scheduled routes timely, and adjust to schedule changes.
• Maintain a safe atmosphere among students and communicate discipline issues to administrators.
• Recognize potential mechanical and safety problems and report as designated.
• Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate licensure and certification.
• Conduct vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections as prescribed by law.
