Job summary

Think Together is seeking a part-time Program Leader to work in the Greater Whittier area. You will lead in-person groups of 20–25 students, model positive behavior, and support academic enrichment while maintaining safety and engagement.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to work with diverse students in a school setting. This position offers in-person work at California districts and schools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 sem/60 quarter units and/or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English in a public-school setting.
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check).
• Provide negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience with a group of 10+ students.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8).
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
• Spanish proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in an in-person setting with high behavior and safety standards.
• Serve as a positive adult role model for children in the program.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for kids.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and discipline when appropriate.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, school administration and parents, as appropriate.
• Provide homework assistance and academic enrichment.
• Assist daily with snack preparation, serving and cleanup.
• Assist in setup, break down, and ongoing maintenance to keep sites clean and orderly.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/sign-outs.
