Job summary

Five Below in Louisville, KY is hiring a Support Lead on a part-time basis to wow customers and oversee daily store operations. You will train crew on the BEST service approach, open and close the store, manage cash, and ensure strong visual merchandising.

You will help onboard and train associates, drive sales, control expenses, and collaborate with the leadership team on merchandising. The role requires flexibility for day/evening shifts and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative thinking and composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience.
• Oversee the daily activities of store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and daily operations readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates to learn store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs maintenance tasks such as cleaning and stock room upkeep.
