Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, well-stocked sales floors.

The role involves opening/closing tasks, payroll-related record keeping, and supervision of store associates in a fast-paced retail environment. This position is part-time and based in Decatur, Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and follow operational directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
