Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise flow, and help lead and train Store Associates to ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, following corporate directives, maintaining displays, and handling payroll and scheduling tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, records including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect assets and adhere to safety policies.
• Help coach Store Associates and develop the team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
