Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in League City, TX to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with merchandise organization, day-to-day activities, and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment.

This role requires strong communication and the ability to work in a high-energy team setting. The position involves opening/closing procedures, processing directives, supervising staff, and safeguarding store assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and security of assets including cash.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store and neat stockroom.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of store associates.
• Maintain positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including restrooms, floors, and waste handling.
• Other duties as assigned.
