Job summary

Dollar Tree in Warren, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, support customer service, and help develop the team. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and maintaining store standards.

You will work with the Store Manager to train associates, protect assets, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers. This role requires strong communication and a commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Team-oriented and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and various store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling duties.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional customer interactions.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
