Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Southfield, MI is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price, and prepare donated goods for sale. This role supports daily production goals and helps donors, while keeping the store organized during a 25-hour week that includes evenings and weekends.

Training is provided, with ongoing coaching and opportunities to develop retail and customer service skills in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

Location: Southfield MI

Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
