Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price donated merchandise and keep the store organized. You will help meet daily production goals and provide friendly service to donors in a team-driven environment.

Training is provided; the role includes paid onboarding and ongoing coaching. Evening/weekend shifts may be required, with an employee discount and support programs offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Location: Shelby Twp MI Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise

• Help track and report production numbers

• Move processed merchandise to sales floor

• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors

• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments

• Maintain clean work and storage spaces

• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
