Job summary

Bassett Furniture is seeking a Store Operations Administrator for 24 hours per week with benefits. This entry-level hourly role supports daily store operations, cash handling, deliveries, and post-delivery service coordination.

The SOA will work closely with the store manager and design consultants to ensure exceptional customer service, accurate order processing, and efficient administrative tasks in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is a plus, but not required.
• Conflict and problem resolution skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Read, understand and write English.

Responsibilities

• Assist design consultants with order entry, cash management, and financing applications.
• Assist ordering parts for customers such as arms caps, table legs, hardware, etc.
• Manage petty cash reconciliation and cash drawer balancing.
• Audit daily transactions and assist with order entry audits.
• Resolve post-purchase service concerns and coordinate deliveries.
• Schedule customer deliveries and service calls; collect feedback.
• Process service orders and communicate status to customers.
• Receive purchase orders for parts or store pickups.
• Ensure documentation and deposits are properly prepared for accounting.
