Job summary

Dollar Tree in Anthony, Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and help develop the store team. You will assist with day-to-day functions, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom stay well‑stocked and orderly.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean, well-stocked, and presentable.
• Protect company assets and store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Additional duties as assigned.
