Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Beaumont location.

The role involves assisting with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential for supervising associates and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling and loss prevention.
• Protect and secure all company assets and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
