Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in West Bend, WI to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily activities, merchandise handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position is part-time and based at the West Bend store.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure the seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
