Dollar Tree in Sandy, Utah is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and supervise store associates.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, work in a high-energy team, and uphold company policies. This position is part-time and on-site at our Sandy store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required for interpreting operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
