Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Utah is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help ensure clean, well-stocked floors and secure assets.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, a high-energy team mindset, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will train and supervise store associates while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Keep store areas clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
