Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Wamego, Kansas to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, opening/closing, and ensuring policy compliance. The role emphasizes staff training, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful environment; handle cleaning and restocking duties.
• Other duties as assigned
