Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at the Center Line, MI location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure smooth operation of merchandising and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes leadership of Store Associates, training, and maintaining a clean, organized environment while upholding company policies and providing excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organization and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow safety guidelines and store policies; ensure team compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable.
