Job summary

Dollar Tree in Peabody, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a part-time position. You will support daily store operations, assist customers, and help develop the store team while maintaining clean, organized areas and ensuring safety and policy compliance.

You will also assist in merchandising, scheduling, payroll, and cash handling as needed. The role emphasizes positive leadership, teamwork, and high-energy service in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and engage in frequent walking, standing, and moving.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and ensure promotions are visible.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
