Job summary

Dollar Tree in Knoxville seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This role works with the Store Manager to lead a team during busy shifts and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

You will assist in opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. This part-time position offers opportunities for growth within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Attendance and reliability essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
