Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to lead daily operations at our campus store and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will coach team members, oversee opening/closing duties, and help ensure priorities and standards are met in a busy retail setting.

This role requires 2+ years of retail experience, strong communication, and the ability to work varying schedules year-round, including evenings and weekends. DailyPay and employee discounts are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily store operations.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and provide direction to team members in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering exceptional customer service while coaching and supporting team members to create a customer-first culture.
• Support daily operations by assisting with opening/closing, serving as Manager-on-Duty when assigned, and ensuring priorities are completed.
• Provide day-to-day leadership by assigning work, monitoring progress, coaching team members, and meeting daily standards.
• Maintain knowledge of all store departments to assist customers and meet business needs.
• Resolve customer questions with professionalism and escalate issues when needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members and reinforce policies and standards.
• Support merchandising, inventory, replenishment, order fulfillment, POS, and other activities to keep the store ready.
