Job summary

JCPenney in Kentucky is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to support the management team, drive sales, and ensure a visually appealing store. You will build a positive environment that develops and engages your team and customers every day.

This role reports to the Store Manager and requires flexible availability, supervisory experience, and the ability to learn all aspects of the business. You will perform POS transactions on designated shifts and model our values.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in similar volume retail is preferred.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• May require occasional travel to other store locations.

Responsibilities

• Support the management team to achieve sales results and grow the business.
• Understand and demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty by using company tools.
• Be a role model to team members for the customer experience.
• Support merchandising and operations standards, and be accountable for tasks and results.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Create a great work environment with a positive, professional attitude.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute supervisor functions in the absence of Store Manager.
