Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Othello location. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and perform opening/closing duties.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail leadership. A high school diploma is preferred; this is a part-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise between areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures.
• Help store management supervise, train, and develop associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
