Job summary

Five Below in Florida is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee daily store operations and deliver exceptional guest service. You will lead the team, ensure accurate cash handling, and support the onboarding of associates while maintaining the store's standards.

This hourly role requires a minimum of 1 year in management, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Wows the customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure they perform duties effectively.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations.
• Manages opening/closing procedures, securing cash, and uptime readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and product knowledge.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership in merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store upkeep including cleaning and stock room organization.
