Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate who will function as a Cashier and/or Stocker and lead in the absence of Store Manager. You will assist in plan-o-gram setup, provide exemplary customer service, and help maximize store profitability while protecting assets.

Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, assisting customers, operating the cash register, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions and scanners.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits and cashier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of front end; balance registers and bags.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of Area Manager.
• In absence of store leadership, authorize refunds/overrides and manage cash accountability.
