Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Family Store Associate to provide excellent customer service, operate the POS, maintain store cleanliness, and assist donors. Flexible schedule, including weekends, is required. Prior retail experience is preferred and basic math with cash handling skills are essential.

Responsibilities include processing payments, balancing cash, setting up displays, and ensuring a welcoming store environment. Training on Safe From Harm is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in retail store preferred.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule.
• Ability to operate a cash register and make change.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple Instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the POS and operate cash register.
• Handle payments, wrap/bag merchandise, and balance cash drawer.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Price unmarked items and set up displays.
• Provide courteous assistance to customers and donors.
