Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Family Store Associate in Michigan. You will provide excellent customer service, operate the POS system, and help maintain store cleanliness and security while handling cash and donations.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, balancing the cash drawer, and setting up displays to promote sales. A flexible schedule and basic computer skills are required; prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience working in a retail store preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the cash register and POS system.
• Assist customers purchasing items and provide courteous service.
• Balance the cash drawer and assist in preparing bank deposits.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and security of the store.
• Price unmarked items and set up displays to promote sales.
• Answer phone calls professionally and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Assist customers donating items and ensure store area is neat and inviting.
