Job summary

Smart & Final, part of Chedraui USA, is hiring a Part-Time Associate for the Inglewood store. The role involves inventory, stocking, cash register operations, and customer service in a high-volume grocery environment.

Starting rate is $18.50 per hour, with responsibilities including store cleanliness, price accuracy, and assisting customers to their vehicles when needed. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small-group settings to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned and assist with inventory, stocking, pricing checks, and displays.
• Operate a cash register, process payments, returns, and verify customer eligibility for alcohol sales.
• Assist customers with product information and loading purchases when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping chores and track store supplies.
