Smart & Final in Bakersfield is hiring a Part-time Associate for 362 Bakersfield. The role supports store operations, stocking, pricing, and customer assistance in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work with a friendly team, handle cash register duties, and help maintain store standards. Prior retail experience is helpful; basic PC/Outlook skills are a plus. This position emphasizes service to the local community and efficient store support.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes and memos.
• Write simple correspondence as needed.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Follow written or oral instructions with basic comprehension.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, and up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section, stock merchandise and ensure proper pricing.
• Operate a cash register and handle sales and refunds following policy.
• Assist customers to vehicles and provide friendly service.
• Perform basic bookkeeping and restock store supplies as needed.
• Maintain sanitation standards throughout the store and parking lot.
