Job summary

MOSI is seeking an Outreach Instructor for a part-time, year-round role based in Tampa. The position involves leading hands-on STEM programs off-site at schools and community settings, with travel across the Tampa Bay area.

A dynamic presenter with STEM background and strong classroom skills is required, along with a valid Florida driver’s license and a background screening. You will work at least 3 weekdays, with occasional evenings, and support MOSI's mission through engaging, interactive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred.
Experience teaching or presenting to diverse audiences required.
Strong classroom management, presentation, and communication skills.
Valid Florida driver's license with safe driving record required.
Ability to travel to off-site locations and to lift up to 50 pounds.
Clear Level II Background Screening for working with children.

Responsibilities

Teach STEM programs blending content with engagement for diverse audiences.
Engage audiences using dynamic presentation and classroom management techniques.
Represent MOSI in the Tampa Bay community with energy and enthusiasm.
Work independently with minimal supervision and support educational programs.
Assist with preparation, cleanup, and data entry as needed.
Contribute ideas for new outreach activities and learning experiences.
