Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time instructor to deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and Fitness sessions to PreK-12 students across assigned sites. You will receive training, lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, and you’ll prepare for instruction and teach students in line with the provided schedule under the supervision of the Program Success Manager.

Responsibilities include following the schedule, delivering standards-aligned instruction, and engaging families.

Qualifications

• Part-time position must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• AA Degree (or higher) required.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Consistency - follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction, and maintain compliance with site expectations.
• Competence - deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking, problem solving, and joy in the learning process. Manage all supplied instructional materials.
• Communication - engage in professional, responsive, effective communication with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Creativity - deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore's collection of 80+ programs, administer accommodations and extensions, as relevant.
• Community - participate in family engagement efforts and empower each child to meaningfully access and engage in Nexplore programs.
