Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience or an associate degree and six years of professional experience, or the equivalent.
• Possession of a valid California Community College Teaching Credential or equivalent is required/preferred.
• Ability to design, build, and manage prop and scenic design projects and to recruit and mentor diverse students.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic instruction to students in Stagecraft through lectures, labs, or performances; assess and develop abilities and skills in students in one-on-one, classroom, and performance settings.
• Advise and instruct students on programs of study, transfer options, and support resources; refer to appropriate services.
• Observe and evaluate student performance; provide timely feedback on course objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Plan and organize instruction in accordance with approved course outlines and SLOs to maximize learning.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and progress; prepare data and reports as required.
• Evaluate and select instructional materials and tools; order materials through campus procedures.
• Update syllabi and course content in line with industry developments; collaborate with faculty on measurable outcomes.
• May participate in curriculum development and articulation activities; may provide work direction to others.
