Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona, seeks a Staffing Coordinator for a part-time 3-day, 9-hour shift (2:30am–12:00pm). Weekend rotations and holidays are required, with a $1/hour weekend differential and 18% night shift differential when applicable.

The role supports facility-wide patient and staff placement operations, providing administrative support for the Clinical Care Operations department in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a healthcare office setting.
• Must have medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must have strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines while handling multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Initiates facility-wide staff placement operations and coordinates staffing on most units.
• Develops computerized work schedules; anticipates weekly needs and schedules extra staff as needed.
• Adjusts shift-to-shift staffing based on census to ensure cost-effective, quality staffing.
• Performs office management and clerical services for department using multiple software platforms.
• Addresses continual demand for staffing requirements and acts as liaison for internal/external customers.
• Demonstrates organization, communication, and human relations skills.
• Manages own work, adopts policies to improve efficiency and resolves problems with leadership guidance.
• Identifies and communicates staffing issues to nursing leadership.
