Clinical Care Operations (CCO) is the hub of patient management for the facility, including: unit staffing, bed assignment, house supervision, emergency preparedness (code events and internal disasters), patient transports, dispatch, and data analysis. Several employee groups report to this department, including clinical positions such as RN House Senior Managers, SWAT Nurses, and the Resource Team (RNs, Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Coordinators, and Behavioral Health Technicians), plus non-clinical roles such as Office Supervisors, Transport Supervisors, Dispatchers, Placement Liaisons, and Information Specialists.
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating staff coverage throughout the assigned hospital to ensure a high level of patient care. In addition, you will provide administrative support for the entire Clinical Care Operations department. As an ideal candidate, you will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing multiple tasks, and working within a variety of software programs.

This position is responsible for facility-wide patient and/or staff placement operations. This position is the primary source of staffing information for the individual units. The incumbent assists leadership with fiscal responsibility by placing the most cost-effective staff on the floors and ensuring that floors are not over or understaffed for every shift.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
The position also requires skills and abilities typically gained with 1 year of experience in a healthcare office setting, previous experience in patient services or admitting would be very helpful. Must have medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and critical thinking skills. Must have the ability to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines while working on a variety of projects.
Must be proficient with commonly used office software and equipment.
Associate' Degree preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
