Job summary

Weatherford College is seeking an experienced and dependable part-time chef to join our campus Food Service team. The role supports the preparation and service of meals for students, faculty, staff, guests, and catered events, with emphasis on food quality, presentation, and teamwork in both small and large quantities.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related cooking experience; ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Previous professional cooking or culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare food from scratch and follow standardized recipes.
• Knowledge of proper food-safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook entrees, vegetables, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Prepare food for college catering functions, meetings, banquets, and special events.
• Ensure food is prepared on time and presented attractively.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, temperature-control, and food-safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with cooks, servers, student employees, and Food Service management.
