Job summary

Mount Carmel in Westerville, OH is seeking a Part-time Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, residents, families and staff across the healthcare continuum. The role focuses on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention and support during significant life changes.

Reports to the Manager of Spiritual Care and may assist the ministry site supervisor as needed. The position requires a Master’s degree in Theology/Religion or related field, and 1–3 years of Spiritual Care

Qualifications

Master's degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or equivalent.
Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) strongly preferred via APC, CASC, NACC, or NAJC with 4 ACPE units.
1–3 years Spiritual Care experience; CPE training preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Makes available and facilitates transformative Spiritual Care experiences for patients, residents, participants and colleagues.
Assesses spiritual needs and provides interventions or referrals as needed.
Documents Spiritual Care assessments and outcomes in the EMR with appropriate care plans.
Collaborates as a clinical member of the inter-professional healthcare team.
Measures and improves Spiritual Care processes aligned with Mission Integration strategy.
