Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a part-time Sports Instructor to plan and lead a variety of athletic programs at the Kroc Center. The role emphasizes creating a safe, engaging environment, coaching participants, and supporting leagues and tournaments in the recreation program.

Evening and Saturday shifts are required. This position offers 18 hours per week with a pay rate of $15.60–$20.66 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential for Friday evening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year experience in a recreational setting preferred.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certifications desirable.
• Wisconsin driver's license with insurance clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead a broad array of athletic programs and activities.
• Coach and instruct in various sports and recreational activities.
• Assist in development and execution of leagues and tournaments.
• Promote programs and assist in staff training.
• Maintain safety and quality of facilities and equipment.
• Prepare progress reports and support program promotion.
