Job summary

New Vista of the Bluegrass Inc. is seeking a Part-time Speech Therapist to support adult residents at the Hazelwood Center in Louisville, KY. This role focuses on delivering speech therapy services in collaboration with the Therapy Services Department.

Typical hours are 4:30pm–7:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with up to 50 hours per month; licensure requirements include Kentucky Board of Speech Therapy and ASHA credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program.
• Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Speech Therapist.
• Must be licensed by ASHA.
• Preferred experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess all individuals on an annual basis to determine need for speech therapy.
• Conduct speech therapy assessments and analysis, complete all required documentation.
• Develop, monitor and train on learning based objectives.
• Provide direct speech therapy services with individuals identified as needing those services.
• Shall provide services to meet the treatment needs of the specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic patients as warranted.
