New Vista KY is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist to provide services at The Hazelwood Center in Louisville, KY. The role supports adults with developmental disabilities, with emphasis on assessment, treatment planning, and staff training.
Licensure by the Kentucky Board of Speech Therapists and ASHA is required. Hours are 4:30pm-7:30pm, Monday through Thursday, not to exceed 50 hours per month, with occasional travel to group homes as needed.

The Therapy Services Department provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to all residents at The Hazelwood Center. The Therapy Services Department also works closely with the Nutritional Department in the development of programs. Staff in the department complete discipline specific assessments, perform treatments, develop mealtime, physical, and sensory support plans, train staff and monitor programs. All services are provided at the highest standard of professional practice, complying with standards by both federal and state regulations and facility policies.
This is a Part-time position, days and hours of work are typically 4:30pm-7:30pm Monday thru Thursday (not to exceed 50 hours per month).
Supervises therapy support staff routinely.
This position may require travel to the Group Homes locations as well as community programs outside of Hazelwood Center when an individual is transitioning (i.e. SCL, day program, FHP, etc…). Travel is less than 5% of the expected total job duty.
