Qualifications

• Graduate of a speech-language pathology program approved by the ASHA.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
• ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow.
• Experience with electro-larynx, tracheostomy speaking valves and augmentative communication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation, evaluation and speech-language pathology services.
• Establishes a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals after functional evaluation.
• Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff and community.
• Coordinates services with other medical disciplines and makes recommendations to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process.
• Stroke-related evaluation and therapy experience is relevant.

Education

Graduate of a speech-language pathology program approved by the ASHA

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New York

ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)

Experience with Modified Barium Swallow

Experience with electro-larynx

Experience with tracheostomy speaking valves
