Job summary

Leisure Glen Post Acute Care Center in Glendale, California is seeking a Part Time Speech Language Pathologist/ Speech Therapist (SLP/ST) to provide comprehensive speech-language services within our Skilled Nursing facility. The role focuses on assessments, individualized treatment plans, and interdisciplinary collaboration to help patients regain communication and swallowing skills.

Requires a Master’s degree in SLP, ASHA CCC or eligibility, state license, and SNF experience with weekend

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or similarly titled area.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
License, certification, or credentialing as required in the state of practice.
At least 1 year of experience in a SNF setting and availability on weekends.

Responsibilities

Design and implement speech-language therapy programs for patients with cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' communication skills.
Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Provide individual and group speech-language therapy sessions.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and therapy sessions.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research in speech-language pathology.
