• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current CCC in Speech Language Pathology, or eligibility following completion of the Clinical Fellowship year.

Responsibilities

• Delivers services consistent with the Rush Oak Park Hospital Mission and Philosophy.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and respects the rights and dignity of all individuals.
• Complies with ASHA Code of Ethics and state licensure laws.
• Based on the patient’s status, uses safe guarding techniques and assistive/adaptive devices.
• Documents on an ongoing basis services provided and changes in status related to the care plan.
• Communicates effectively with patients and caregivers at appropriate levels.
• Collaborates with a variety of professionals.
• Participates in conferences and mandatory continuing education.
• Provides discharge planning and family teaching.
