Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Boardman, OH is seeking a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Greenbriar Healthcare Center as an in-house team member. This role provides therapy to residents and supports ongoing rehab initiatives.

Responsibilities include evaluating, screening, and developing treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills, plus directing rehabilitative programs and educating residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's and/or a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen residents' medical charts and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs for speech, swallowing, and cognitive needs.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on practice techniques and safe swallowing strategies.
• Attend/interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and participate in family education.
