New Palestine Community Schools is seeking a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to support secondary students at New Palestine Junior High School. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and providing speech and language services to PK-12 students in collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Experience with PK-12 students' speech and language needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines for identification, enrollment, and programming for students who require speech, language, or hearing services.
• Conduct individual evaluations for students with initial deficits/delays after referrals.
• Initiate initial and annual conferences for students receiving speech/language services and participate in team conferences.
• Prepare and implement appropriate IEPs and, when applicable, develop transition plans for speech-language students.
• Provide a variety of learning activities, teaching strategies, and materials to meet student needs.
• Maintain a positive, organized learning environment to promote student interest in learning.
• Maintain communication with school personnel, parents, and professionals to enhance program effectiveness.
• Participate in department meetings, PLCs, and in-service activities.
• Provide hearing screenings for designated grades and students on referral basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
