Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines for identification, enrollment, and programming for students needing speech services.
• Conduct individual evaluations after referral.
• Initiate initial and annual conferences for students receiving speech services.
• Prepare and implement IEPs and transition plans when applicable.
• Provide varied learning activities and materials to address needs.
• Maintain a positive, organized learning environment.
• Use an appropriate behavior management system to optimize instructional time.
• Maintain communication with staff, parents, and professionals to enhance programs.
• Participate in department meetings and PLC activities.
• Provide hearing screenings for identified students when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
