Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in Fremont, NE to evaluate and treat patients with speech or language difficulties. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 20 hours per week, with negotiable hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current SLP license.
• BLS certification preferred at hire; must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• CFY acceptable during first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a wide variety of patient types and identify dysfunction to guide treatment.
• Establish and implement patient-focused treatment plans with attainable goals.
• Review medical records and collaborate with attending physicians as needed.
• Set and adjust short/long-term goals; document progress weekly.
• Coordinate treatments with interdisciplinary services as needed.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation in medical records; provide progress reports.
• Educate patients to facilitate rehabilitation; use interpreters or specialists as needed.
• Supervise students and contribute to clinical instruction in the department.
• Assist with program development and community education activities.
