Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to work with Athens City Schools. You will evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders, develop individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with educators and families to support student success.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating with school teams, and promoting carry-over of communication skills in classroom settings. This role offers a 2026-2027 school-year schedule and part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Alabama SLP license required or eligible.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluation of students with communicative disorders.
• Evaluates and diagnoses speech and language disorders.
• Develops and implements individualized education plans to meet student needs.
• Develops appropriate service delivery models to meet student needs.
• Refsers students to other professional and community agencies.
• Consults with teachers and school staff to facilitate carry-over therapy gains.
• Maintains student records for evaluated and served students.
• Informs administrators and team members of program developments and student progress.
• Coordinates services with other school programs.
• Demonstrates written and oral communication proficiency.
