Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collector in Germantown, MD. You will collect urine and/or saliva specimens, prepare shipments, and liaise between clinics and the lab, while ensuring accurate patient data and compliant handling.

The role requires 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in healthcare, plus 2+ years of customer service. A valid driver's license and reliable transport are needed; HIPAA and security standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field.
• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance awareness.
• Ability to adhere to security controls for admin, physical and cyber environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
